Qualifications:
- Diagnose equipment problems and determines repairs needed
- Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
- Keep daily records of purchases, preventative maintenance performed, etc.
- Great attention to detail
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management skills
- Working in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize all equipment repairs and service
- Longer hours during planting (spring), detasseling (summer), and harvest (fall) seasons
- May work in other departments or areas as needed
Key Responsibilities (do not have to hold experience in all of the areas listed below):
- Experience repairing vehicles, farm equipment, semi tractors and other large equipment
- Background working on equipment brands such as: CAT, Case IH, John Deere
- Knowledge of hydraulics, fuel systems, and electrical are a plus
- Plant equipment repairs and service as needed
